Reagan spent some time with his Nana yesterday afternoon while I cleaned our car out (a major accomplishment!) and went shopping to pick up some things we will need for our vacation this coming weekend. We never left Brenda and Sherrill's house until almost 8:30 last night. Needless to say, Reagan was exhausted and fell asleep as soon as his bottom hit the carseat. When we got home, I went to pick Reagan up from his carseat and carry him in the house. It really is a struggle to pick him up and carry him, and my pocketbook, and shut and lock the car doors, not to mention then making up it up the stairs and finding the right key and managing to unlock and open the door - he seems to weigh a ton these days! As soon as I got the door open, I thought of how quickly time is passing. It seems like only yesterday Jon was carrying him from the car to our front door for the first time. I realized that in the not-that-far-off future, I won't be able to pick him up anymore. Very soon, he will be too heavy for me to carry from the car to his bed. In that moment, with that sweet little boy wrapped up in a blanket in my arms, I just wanted to freeze him. Freeze him just like that... little... sweet... innocent... forever. Forever his Daddy's "best buddy", my "best helper" and the handsome, happy-go-lucky boy that he is with nothing more to worry about than if he, Pluto the dog, or Daddy is going to win the wrestling match tonight in the middle of my living room floor, and if tomorrow is a "home day" or a "work day". I can't help but think that these days are numbered.
Folks, my boy is growing up, and that's a bittersweet thought for this Mama.

New Blog... and Happy Valentine's Day, too!
Happy Valentine's Day!
Many of you are probably wondering why we changed our web address... we used a different site, thefamilypost.com, for awhile so that all of our family and friends that aren't nearby could keep up with Reagan's latest happenings. That site was great, but I paid $5/month for it. Not a grand sum of money, but five dollars is five dollars... so we have moved our "web home" here (for free!)
Check us out often to keep up with our latest adventures... you never know what we will be up to!
